The Student Room Group

What type of accommodation?room is suitable for me?

I'll be joining the University of Glasgow in the coming September for my Postgraduate degree in MSc International Business and Entrepreneurship. I'm looking for a flat/suite with a room (not to be shared with anyone) with my own private washroom. A spacious room is preferred. It's okay for me to share the apartment with other students but not the room and the washroom. Also, since there are only self-catered options for postgraduates, how exactly I'm supposed to manage my meals?
So which hall out of the four available to post graduates will be suitable for me?

1. They are self catered, so you cook yourself. Do you not cook?

2. Looking at your requirement for ensuite, then only the Maclay residences, which have normal and large ensuites
http://www.gla.ac.uk/postgraduate/accommodation/residenceprofiles/maclayresidences/
or Lister house which has some 1 bedroom flats and studios, will meet your ensuite requirements.

Contact accommodation for confirmation. Its on the website.

If neither of those meet your requirements hen you will have to research private halls and private rented.

Isn't Lister House only for Medical and Dental Postgraduate Students?

The contact details for the accommodation team are on the link. You can verify that with them.
I believe there was a missing post?

If what the uni has to offer isnt what you are looking for then you can try. Check the distance from uni (postcode to postcode) and you can mess around with search parameters..

1. Private Halls. You can probably get a studio or en suites easily.

2. Spare room. I limited it to studios and 1 bedroom flats but mess around with the search feature.

3. Local letting agents or sites like zoopla or rightmove
