Well it would be interesting to see how many scientists don't think Climate change is a hoax by comparison.

That old Oregon Petition chestnut doing the rounds again? How old is it now - 20 years and counting? Even the academy that spawned it has disowned it.

New Scientist magazine editorial quote:

"In between Aaagard and Zylkowski, the first and last names on the petition, are an assortment of metallurgists, botanists, agronomists, organic chemists and so on. ... The vast majority of scientists who signed the petition have never studied climatology and don't do any research into it. It doesn't matter if you're a Ph.D. A Ph.D in metallurgy just makes you better at metallurgy. It does not transform you into some kind of expert in paleoclimatology. ... So the petition's suggestion that everyone with a degree in metallurgy or geophysics knows a lot about climate change, or is familiar with all the research that's been done, is patent crap."

I really wish climate change sceptics would publish their research rather than just teasing us about it on internet forums where it will make sod all difference to the scientific debate.

1. Provide proof that the "academy has disowned it."
2. I notice that you conveniently neglected any mention of John Kerry's comments, and Ivar Giaever's comments, and the blatant worldwide hypocrisy of climate change high priests such as Al Gore and Barack Obama and Richard Branson, whose carbon footprints are greater than those of 100 average citizens.
3. The United Nations functionaries have admitted that their fraud is a fraud.
Haven't you even heard?
4. Thousands of books and papers and videos have been produced exposing the fraud. That you turn your eyes away from them will not make them go away.

“One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy.” – Ottmar Edenhofer, who co-chaired the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change working group on Mitigation of Climate Change from 2008 to 2015

http://www.investors.com/politics/ed...warming-scare/

The UN’s climate czarina, Christiana Figueres, has also been quite vocal in explaining that the UN’s imposing climate change agenda extends far beyond mere environmental concerns:

“It must be understood that what is occurring here, not just in Doha, but in the whole climate change process is a complete transformation of the economic structure of the world.”

apparently the earth undergoes periodic warming up phases and cooling down phases all by itself. this may be connected with changes in the magnetic orientation of the core.... anyway it is not possible to tell if any alleged current warming is due to man made problems or not.

To be blunt, there is nothing more to be said. If you cannot accept that Global Warming and Climate Change are heavily influenced by anthropogenic drivers, then that puts you in the same category as that pouty finger-wag man Trump.

If you accept the greedy, socialist pronouncements of Al Gore, who flunked out of Vanderbilt University School of Theology, and received a grade of "D" in his one and only science class, then that puts you in his category, except that I seriously doubt that your flat uses 21.4 times as much electricity as the average American home, as Al Gore's does. But then again, he DID invent the internet, didn't he... :::: wink, nudge:::::::

1. Provide proof published in worth scientific journals that states climate xhange is a hoax. Deniers tend to promote their ideas on chat shows and YouTube videos. They do not provide their data or working to justify their conclusions. By contrast, the real data and methodology that supports climate change is there and open to scrutiny. If you disagree with the data, feel free to colkect your own.
2. John Kerry is a politician. He will say whatever wins him votes. Al Gore formed very different views.
3. What is that supposed to mean when the Paris climate accord, brokered by the un framework was signed by all but a few dictorship led countries?
4. See point 1. If you don't believe the evidence, go out and colkect your own data.

People who push these ridiculous conspiracy theories about climate change being a "hoax" or "fraud" seem to be forgetting that it was funding by fossil fuel companies given to American "think" tanks that pretty much started climate change denial as a "movement". A lot of the basic arguments and the material originates from then.

You have to be a very special kind of person to think that the climate scientists are somehow the corrupt and untrustworthy ones, when the climate change denial movement is almost entirely built on certain big business pouring money into science denial because they don't want regulation that would hurt their profits.

The principles of greenhouse gases are known.

The contribution humans make to the concentrations of greenhouse gases are known.

We are able to make predictions and extrapolate backwards based on our understanding of this mixed with carbon sinks/ sources.

These predictions are broadly accurate.

The predictions made by sceptics have thus far failed to accurately predict future trends and cannot be used to explain past trends.

There is no controversy here. Anthropogenic global warming is a fact and the only question now is what to do about it.

Not sure if trolling or not?

Anyway - lets zoom in on the last bit of that graph: https://xkcd.com/1732/

I always wonder what the 'its going to happen anyway' denier crowd arrive at the conclusion of their argument. They acknowledge climate change, that the ice caps regularly melt and sea levels rise greatly flooding vast swathes of the planet, and generally that its linked to fluctuations in atmospheric CO2 levels. They also surely can't deny that we are releasing millions of tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere - i mean you can physically see that...

...All of which are great arguments to immediately cease releasing CO2 into the atmosphere right? Right?

The earth undergoes warming and cooling due to milankovitch cycles. That is changes in the earth's precession and ellipticity which happens on a period of 26,000 years. It does not happen in under two centuries.Carbon dioxide has been shown to absorb heat. The level of carbon dioxide at the moment is 400,000 parts per million which is higher than at any point in the last 800,000 years. Its not an accident that that corresponds with warming temperatures. It is possible to tell it's man-made.Tell me do you trust the scientist when he tells you there will be a solar eclipse? So why doubt him when he tells you things about the climate? Same science.Same methodology.

That paper has been discredited several, several times, by many, many people. Here are a handful of people who have pointed out the humongous flaws:

http://rabett.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10...-robinson.html
https://www.uwgb.edu/dutchs/PSEUDOSC/GlobWarm0.HTM
http://www.climatesciencewatch.org/f...t_al-2007R.pdf

If you reply to this message within 10 minutes then it's clear you did not bother to read the debunking at all and as with all climate change deniers, will continue to go on believing that only your world view is correct no matter how much evidence is against you.

False climate science just shows how much cultural Marxism and relative truth had infiltrated empirical science. AGW, homeopathy, electromagnetic hypersensitivity, and other bull just show how easy it is to mislead idiots into believing conspiracy theories.
