Hi,
I have just been to my DSA Assessment Centre for Anxiety and was recommended the following:
- Mentor
- Laptop
- Printer/scanner
- Texthelp read & write
- Mindview mindmapping
- Dragon Natural Speech
- Sonocent audio notetaker
- Learning labs
I was just wondering what other people's experiences were with this software, also what laptops and printer/scanners were recommended for this kind of software.
Thank you

I was really sceptical about Mindview because I used to hate mindmaps but actually it's really easy to use and quite useful for getting ideas/essay (or in my case, thesis) plans going. The fact that you can hit a button and export the mindmap into Word is really handy.

I have Sonoscent Audio Notetaker too. Haven't used it much but once I'd had my technology training, it seemed quite useful and reasonably straightforward to use

I hope you find the support package you've been given helpful. For me the most helpful thing by far has been having a mentor

Edit: Forgot to say, the laptop I was given was a Fujistu Lifebook A Series one :yep: My printer is Canon
