    I find all of those books brilliant....i used the total revision ones at GCSE and they are the most detailed yet consise (if thats really possible) ones i know!

    Yes, they focus on exam technique rather than course content. Quite useful though.

    just make sure that content is relevant to your syllabus .

    examiners comments are very helpful

    I think it's best to get one syllabus specific book (v. useful for revision) and one detailed textbook (maybe loaned from library).

    Do Brilliantly AS Chemistry is really good it focuses on lots of common exam questions, although it is not syllabus specific, you can look up the topics you need to but I don't think it is suitable for all exam boards. Regardless of whatever board you are doing as it is only £5.99 it is worth it.
