Which axis does the transformation affect if the 2 is outside the bracket? And what does the + mean?

What type of graph transformation is ? Is it a translation, a stretch or a reflection?

Have you done graph transformation yet?

Basically, in this case you are taking the graph of a function and adding to every value of . That means the graph of (which is the same as what's written in the question since the order of addition doesn't matter) will look like a graph where has been added to every point on the graph .

Can you deduce what such a graph must look like?
