What qualification I need to have in order to become a teaching assistant (e.g in primary school/ secondary school) ?

Is level 4 certificate in education and training for teaching assistant ?

A family member became a TA through just her degree (Psych and Education). Maybe look at TA job profiles and see what they ask for in terms of qualifications. It seems to be a mixture for those jobs.

A level 3 qualification would be enough for you to become a TA, for example some courses could be; Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or the CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education.

A level 4 qualification could lead you to HLTA (Higher Level Teaching) status.
