Heyyyy! Just got into Manchester, my first choice today! Studying Electronic Engineering and staying at Dalton-Ellis halls (if I get my confirmation.) So happpppy!
Quick question, is anyone buying the freshers events advertised on Facebook etc. Or would you recommend buying at the uni (the ones sold in halls?)
I put a question like this on about a month ago. I was advised by everyone who replied to not buy the online tickets and go to the ones the uni organises, that way you can make sure you're with people you (kinda) know from your halls, and the online freshers events aren't usually worth the money

See what the people at your halls are going to do is always the best bet (Also personally I thought icebreaker was not worth it)

Pangea: https://manchesterstudentsunion.com/pangaea Student Unions own event at the end of freshers, themed around Willy Wonka this year, is expensive but undoubtadly a very good night.
Personally the best nights that we had were ones that we created ourselves (e.g. Dogbowl) but honestly, the best thing to do is wait and see what your flatmates want to go to. And dont worry about "Final release" ect. there are mroe than enough tickets.
Heyy guys, I'm going to Manc !!! I will be doing petroleum engineering!!! I'm an international student, so I don't really know how to apply& book my accommodation!!! should I just email them ???
