I just completed my first year of BTEC with good grades and getting ready for year 2. I am looking to study Microbiology (eventually Pathology at post grad to get into Cytopathology) at Uni with this and have some Uni choices already that will accept My BTEC for the course. A lot of other places including some courses i had wanted to do only accept Applied science BTEC'S or discount a BTEC entirely. So what kind of things do people usually go into with an Extended BTEC in medical science?

For anyone that bashes for doing BTEC over A level i have done both however went onto BTEC after A level to pursue a new career.

Slightly off topic but I just completed a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Science, I applied to do Biomed, Physio and Applied Medical Science. Out of the three I chose to do Applied Medical Science at UCL, hopefully go on to do either a Masters or Post-Grad Med or even a completely new career path

Hi. I wanted to apply for the same course at UCL. What’s it like? Also, is it possible to do a completely new career after u finish the course?
