Do I go to Christmas works party?

I am have been temping for a few days, there is a works christmas party coming up in 2 weeks. 2 of the other temps who have been there for months are going. I don't know if I should go as I may not be there long term, its at an Italian restaurant and I hate Italian food and I get intimidated in large groups. Any ideas?

deffo go, i worked (only part time admitedly) for a large company and in 2 years i never got an official invite to the party just a word of mouth invitation from others that were going
Go if there are people there that you want to spend time with. otherwise have prior plans :smile:
Yes, get drunk have sex. Spend the rest of your career flitting from one awkward silence at work to the next. Thats what they're for.
