Retaking GCSEs

I don't realy know where else to put this so i'll put it here. I got a D in both Englishes and an E in maths, as anyone who had the same problem would know that it's very frustrating to get these marks. Anywho... I'm interested in retaking these, that was i get a better job! But i don't know anywhere near the Telford/Shropshire area that will let me retake them as i've just moved... Can anyone help me please?

Is there any colleges in your area? They always let you do retakes. As far as im aware :tongue:

You could do one of those ICS courses they're always advertising on TV. I've never had any experience with them before, so I'm not sure what they're like.

you could phone ur local citizens advice bureau and see if they help. or call up ur exam board and ask where ur nearest esting centres that will let u do the exams are and get ur self a tutor

TCAT would probably be worth a look in (Telford College of Arts and Technology) http://www.tcat.ac.uk/ and, there is also the local connexions office http://www.connexionsstw.org.uk/ who should have all the info on whats about round in the area.

about 20 miles away to the west (only cupul o quid on the train) there is also SCAT (shrewsbury college of arts and technology)

personally, i would contact the connexions office, and ask them what they think would be the best option for you... there are offices in the telford and wrekin area.. where abouts are you? there is one in madely on court street (01952) 648 289 and one in wellington (01952) 643 070 and there is also a freephone number for connexions shropshire, telford and wrekin... 080 800 13219

Look for the colleges in your area, also maybe look to change your direction maybe take a Avce as there are other routes to university but your best hope is to follow the link Mr_Homosexual :biggrin:
