Getting released from a uni by EMAIL??? Is that correct???

I rang leicster, and the woman on the phone told me to get released from the university, i have to email asking for release, she can't do it over the phone.
Is that correct?

Do you want to be released from Leicester for Clearing? Can you explain in more detail please?
I was able to get a release over the phone (not with Leicester). I imagine an email would take really long for them to read given the busy time - ring again and maybe say that you want to go to another university and you'd like to be released immediately?

I think they want to have it in writing.

Email them asap and say you want to be released into clearing.

Include your UCAS ID and course code.

Ye majority if not all unis ask for written confirmation to ensure its you
