I have a clearing offer from Brighton which I really want to go to but there is no more halls available and I really do not want to share a house with anyone.. I am very introverted and socially awkward, I don't like partying or drinking or anything, what are my options? Is my only option to have to stay in a house with a bunch of other people?

Halls are if you think about it just houses stacked on top of each other. A house would have less people in it for you to meet so would be a good option

It's probably different with student housing though, I would probably be forced to meet everyone and expect to actually talk with them. In halls it sounds like you can just ignore everyone and stay on your own

If you like the uni & course just go for it - you'll have to move out of halls in your 2nd/3rd year anyway so at some point you'll need to live in a house with people. You can't successfully get through your whole life hiding away.

Do any family memeber you are close to live nearby?

I am like you and would hate to have to live with others like that. Heck I'm probably more introverted than you

BUT your education is more important. TBH if there were no other alternatives I would just do it.

I would rather go to uni and live somewhere I don't like (or with people I don't like) than not go to uni.

And if they see you are introverted or whatever, the other people will probably just leave you be.

DO some research on housing in the area and if there are no ther alternatives, just tough it out

Mate first of all, if anything halls are more social than housing. Way more.

Secondly idk why you socialising would be a bad thing. Meeting people is good. Hiding in your room isn't.
