Can I get into Edinburgh university with average grades?

Hi everyone, I have recently left high school in Scotland with the following grades;
ABBBB - Higher S5
AA - Higher S6
AB - Advanced higher S6

The minimum requirements for zoology at Edinburgh are "SQA Highers: AABB by end of S5 or AABBB/AAAB (S4-S6)" but the typical offer is AAAA.

Do you think I stand a chance of being accepted. Edinburgh is my first choice, so it would be amazing if I got accepted to do the zoology course there.

Also I'm taking a gap year where I've got a months work experience at a animal rescue lined up and plan on doing more animal related work experience. (Also I did a week placement at a local vet in S4)

Are there any over ways of strengthening my application that you could recommend?
