What uni are you going to?

Is there a way you could live further away? See if there is private housing further away, and either get a bus / car or even train. Not the best but you would have somewhere to live.
Do you have any close family nearby?

I cant live further because I'm an art student and I carry so much stuff back and forth, I don't have any family nearby x

this is what their website says

We’ll help you find your home from home here at NTU. If you have received an offer through Clearing and Adjustment, you are guaranteed to receive University-allocated accommodation, provided your request has been received by Wednesday 23 August 2017.

You said there was no private housing. Did you check halls?

So of they have an accommodation guarantee, then have you turned down accommodation offered by NTU?

Private Halls

There will also be letting agents. Ask student accommodation if thy have the facility to match up with other students looking. This is common. You can then rent somewhere together.

Hi EvelilyD,

Please don’t panic! We guarantee accommodation to all new students. This could be in a University-owned hall of residence, a hall of residence run by our partner providers or private companies, or accredited shared housing.

There are a number of private halls around the city centre and within walking distance to the City Campus.

It might be worth giving our Accommodation Team a call to discuss what rooms are available and may be suitable to your needs. (0115 848 2894)

Hope this Helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi everyone,
Many of you might be feeling the same as the original poster but don't worry, there's definitely accommodation available either through your university or student housing or private accommodation. Take a look at all your options and make a list of what your priorities are. For example, do you want somewhere close to campus? Would you prefer an ensuite or a studio?

You can take a look at Student Roost in Nottingham here.
