I have a worrie and concern.
I work as a service advisor and have noticed that some of the customers signutures are not exactly the same on some of the documents .Like for example this lady today signed something to let her have a car for the day when she came in to drop of car .

Then when she came back for her car her signuture was different when shes signed another document and wasent the same. Basically what I am saying is if the cutomer was to say no to getting brakes done as the brake pads were really low and dangourous and signed it to clarify he didnt want it and was happy with everything else.

Then he went out on the road and crashed and he died. Then the police came in to check if he did sign for it and looked at all the documents for that day and lets say for example the two signatures were completely different would they start to investigate that has signature forgery and lets say it was .

Then lets say a eye witness who was there with the customer on the day when he signed it said I did it would that be evidence if it was taken to court .

I am a lawyer. I have dealt with a case involving obvious signature forgery.

Okay, the police MIGHT investigate signature forgery, if, as you said, the two signatures were COMPLETELY different and they realise the difference.

If there was an eyewitness that saw the customer signing it, then, you can call the witness to testify in court.

Some people intentionally or unintentionally sign documents differently. But as long as there is proof that the person actually signed the document, the signed document is generally binding.

Thank you and I didn't mean someone saw it on my side I meant a customers friend saw her sign it but saying I signed it if that makes sense. The thing is I will be with the customer until they leave the garage so surely would be inisent because I was with him/her until they left if that makes sense .

The only proof I would have is it would say customer signature and they would sign it in a box

I don't really understand what you mean. Your written English isn't that great.

Basically, what you want to do is produce that document with the signature and provide witnesses that the customer signed it. The witnesses can testify in court or affirm/swear a written affidavit.

I do apologise if my English isn't that great.

It is hard to explain. Unfortunately the way we work we don't allow other service advisers to witness there signatures. If this is the case how will it work as i have no witnesses.

I do not understand how I will be guilty of forgery though if I was with the customer at the reception desk until she left the building , she would of seen me doing it and stopped me .

Oh, I finally understand. You are being accused of signature forgery. And there is a witness who says he/she saw you forge the signature.

Another problem is that the 2 signatures of the customer in 2 different documents are very different from each other.

Well, if you hire a good enough lawyer, he/she will cross examine the witness and tear down the witness's credibility by asking the right questions.

If not, you will be in trouble, especially if a handwriting specialist says the two signatures are completely different from each other.
