Classics + Career Prospects?

Hi everyone.
I am considering studying Classics (or Classics + English), and was wondering how current students or graduates feel about their Career Prospects?
What are you planning to go into?
Do you feel you will be disadvantaged in terms of earning potential compared to STEM grads?
For Classics, does a 2:1/1st from an RG Uni generally get you further than one from a non-RG?
I definitely find the subject interesting but I want to get an idea of where I'd stand after the degree before considering applying for it.

I doubt it matters that much unless its at an elite Uni say top 5 including Oxbridge.

Lots of graduate jobs are non degree specific.

The vast majority of Classics grads go into Law, Civil Service and Teaching. However, most graduate schemes are open to all disciplines and so I know many people who go into different public sector work, roles at museums and libraries, as well as private schemes as Accountants, Corporate Bankers etc. The transferable skills you develop are more important and it's worth using your summer holidays to gain different skills and experience in internships or temporary work if you are able to!
