Hi,

My course is 4 years long or 3 years-long, depending if I'm doing a placement year. The placement year costs about £700 i think, not £9000 like the other years.

I did my student finance a couple of weeks ago after failing to find any placements and expecting to go directly into final year without doing a placement, everything's done and it says "PAYMENTS READY TO BE MADE".

Today I received an email saying I have been accepted into a placement by a company, which I plan on doing, so I need to change my student finance, how do I do this? The website is a little bit confusing, help would be appreciated. I'm worried im going to get charged for the £9000 loan when I need it to be reduced.

I hope this makes sense, English isnt my native language.
Thank you

Would I withdraw the application and reapply?

I did the same today, although I'll be going into a foundation. Once you log in to student finance, you can click on "make changes to my application", and then change the course you are doing; eg: from 'management' to 'management with a placement year'. Alternatively, you can ring up student finance directly.
Hopefully this helps!

I've finished 2nd year and will be starting my placement in a few weeks. I don't see this option which you talk about on the website I change course.

I will try ringing student finance as I don't want to paying a loan which I no longer need. Quite worried about it.
