    GCSE Results: Post your results!

Hello to all of you GCSE geniuses! This year is bigger than ever as lots of people have been trying out new specification exams. There have been lots of scares about grade boundaries and even about examiners marking papers wrong?! You shouldn't worry about it too much, because grade boundaries are designed to be fair and English is subjective, so marking might naturally slightly vary by the examiner (just like it has for many years) but who knows what this year will bring?

You can join the results day countdown, read up on our handy results day guide, or even share with us your plans for results day celebrations! :groovy:

This is the place where you can showcase all of your hard work to the rest of the student community. We know that a large range of age groups take GCSEs, so you can use this space to post your GCSE results - regardless of whether you're in year 11, year 10, 6th form, or adult education.

Good luck with your results day, and most of all be happy with what you get because we're all so proud of you! :grouphugs: #BeResultsProud and tell us who you're most proud of this results day!

You can copy and paste the template below to tell us your predicted and achieved results:

So happy ! Little bit upset with the A in computing but our whole class had their coursework moderated so I'm not too bothered by it (Might try and have the exam remarked though). Very pleased with the 9 in lit and the a* in Re, was not expecting that and they make up for the a in computing. Was also told I had the best in the sciences and the best in art so I'm very pleased there too!!

Literally couldn't have asked for better grades. Pretty happy

Even though I'm hoping for top GCSE grades, the grades that you get are really not that important. Even for Cambridge (a little bit more important for Oxford, but still only a 17.5% weighting). A Levels are more important

I came from a pretty bad state school, so whatever grades I get were probably influenced by that fact.

    Future ambitions

I'm starting A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry in September.

Theoretical (or) computational chemistry, at a degree level. I'm likewise interested in computational and theoretical physics. I'd preferably like to do it a top university, like Cambridge.

    Comments before Results
I spent an incredibly high amount of time revising for all of my exams so I'm really hoping to get these results. The most important ones for me are Biology, English Language and Maths. For the other subjects, I won't be too bothered if a couple of them slip.

    Comments after Results
I'm shocked. I've never got an 8 in either English exams before. Opening up that envelope and seeing 2 8s popup brought a tear to my eye, and to be honest I rarely cry. I got 2 more A*s than I was predicting, and with Maths, Chemistry and Religious Studies, I was pretty close to the next grade up (6 UMS or less, for maths 7 marks off) but since I'm happy with my results and don't see the benefit of attempting to remark for an A*, I won't be requesting a marking review. I'm so happy seeing me and all of my friends succeed after the hours of pain we put in revising. The hard work truly paid off.

    Future Ambitions
Oxbridge to study Psychology. With my results, I'm one step closer to achieving that dream.
