Dissertation on terrorism :/ please help

I can't point you in the direction in terms of case material, as I'm a History and Politics major. However I'd recommended doing lots of reading and see where the current literature takes you in terms of altering your essay question- amongst the journals and readings a line of argument will begin to emerge. Sounds a bit weird reading for your essay before deciding what your essay is but it works.

A good piece of philosophical literature concerned with Rights of State vs. Individual is from the terrible, the immortal political philosopher Thomas Hobbes- Leviathan. It's the book that made him famous but you probably knew that already. I suppose you could throw that in to spice things up a bit. Definitely worth reading if you're doing ANYTHING at all concerned with the rights of the individual vs. the state. At least for Politics students, it may be superfluous or impractical for you to use.
