Help with understanding AQA Geography resultWatch
Geography A unit 1 tier h 93c
Geography A unit 2 tier h 93c
Geography A unit 3 83a
but when I have looked AQA site for grade boundaries it states unit 1 max score 75, unit 2 max score 84 and unit 3 max score 60.
I have checked the exam codes and they are the right ones.
Are my 2 x 93 scores actually just 1 93 given across the unit 1 and 2 - I literally havent got a clue what all this means.
\thanks for any help!
But the grade boundaries show the raw marks, not the UMS (ie standardised ones). UMS are out of 150 for your first two papers (90 for a C, 105 for a B) and 100 for your last one (60 for a C, 70 for a B). So your two 93s are fairly low Cs, and whilst your last one is an A with it being weighted less that's not enough to pull your overall grade up unfortunately. It's confusing I know! For a B overall you would need 280 UMS, and you have 269. Sorry!
