Stay away from the oldham area of manchester its a dump the people there are racist and yeah the place sucks. You probs mite not go to that area neway (maybe if you are doing medicine then you might go to oldham on a clinical attachment).

ive only lived in manc since sept but ive found less trouble there than wot i ave @ home! wen i moved 2 salford every1 told me that it woz such a rough area to live in, but ive found more trouble in my home town of grimsby. maybe its jst the huge police presence that ive found around the area, but theres nowhere near as many fites on nites out round manc!

Not really, crime has been reduced by 63% in the last year. Some parts of Salford are rough like any city, but the area around the university is ok, the halls of residents are very secure. The Ordsall area of Salford is the place to avoid.

Salford certainly is not the nice end of Manchester but there so much police and students around its very difficult for crinimals to get away with anything. Its certainly no rougher than Fallowfield which is also a rougher part of Manchester.

Most of the crime in Manchester happens in the areas that are not near to places, places like Openshaw and Beswick.
