    Meming to Oxbridge
(YES, I know it's not OFFICIALLY in this contest as it expired today, I'm just starting from now, because I want to.)

Hey, now that GCSEs are over, A Levels are upon me, I may as well try this GYG thing:

    name is thotproduct innit

gotta patrol thots but also gotta stay sharp in maths

    What am I doing?:

    • Mathematics OCR
    • Further Mathematics OCR
    • Physics OCR
    • Chemistry AQA

    So a lot of OCR.

    GCSES?

Oh brother, well here they are

    Spoiler:
    Show

    Maths: 9
    English Lit: 9
    English Lang: 8
    RE: A*
    Chemistry: A*
    Biology: A*
    Computing: A*
    Russian: A*
    Farsi: A*
    French: A
    Geography: A
    Physics: A
    in all: 9A*s, 3As

I also hold an A in FSMQ Additional Maths.

    My GCSE thoughts? meh.

    What am I aiming for?

I’m aspiring to do a degree in Engineering or maybe Maths at a TOP university in this field, after going to the Cambridge Summer School multiple times I've fallen in love with the kind of lifestyle there, and I'd love to at least have a crack at it. Other good choices are the University of Bristol, Leeds, Sheffield and if I have a chance, maybe one of the London Unis!

I’m aiming for A*A*A(*?) in my subjects, however to keep it in perspective, let's try and go for an AAAA Y12 season bois.

I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to Mathematics, Programming, Physics, anime, Japanese, and video games. I also like to play Chess, Swimming and Table Tennis.

Kinda interested in learning languages too. I am a fluent speaker in both my native Persian and Russian, am intermediate in Japanese, and hope to learn some more languages over the coming year.

I also spend more time looking at memes than in a textbook, so maybe there's capacity to change here

Cool, but what’s this GYG thing for?

Well, as the name goes, I’m mainly here to….well….grow my grades! My GCSEs were ok (by my standards), but I know if I had a more solid work ethic, I could do MUCH better at A Levels, and this time actually counts, I may be busy, but I shall aim to at least do daily or maybe every other day revision round-ups/summaries, I chose GYG because having the kind of pressure (Good pressure) of knowing there are others watching your progress motivates me to work harder.

I may tag people who comment here, if you wish to be tagged/untagged, please say so!

Appreciate it! Can't slack like the GCSEs and with the collective eyes of TSR on me (or at least a fair few people), it will motivate me!

    Good luck!

By the way, you can't get an A* in year 12.
Is that so? In that case, I'll just settle with an A

Yeah, for AS the highest grade is an A. All your A levels are now linear so the AS is a standalone qualification and because of this, not all schools/colleges enter students for the AS and instead use internal mocks at the end of year 12. In year 13, your exams will cover content from both years. It is possible to get an A* in the full A level (which you take in year 13).
Oh sweet lol, my school enters us for AS exams I believe.

I would hope so! In actuality there is still a lot of uncertain factors left to deal with, i.e Military service, but I'm hoping to clear everything up.
