Yes, they are good subjects for midwifery. They pretty much always ask for a science and some uni's like human Biology as well, it isn't usually mandatory though but it is helpful. I got in with Biology, Psychology and Health and Social care. But do make sure you look at the uni's your interested in and see what list of entry requirements they provide on their midwifery course information page.
