I want to get a remark on one of my papers, but should I also get a clerical check?

A clerical check is just where they look through your paper and recount all the marks you've been given to ensure none have been missed out.

No, pick one or the other. If you do a remark it more or less covers the clerical check anyway. And doing only one will be cheaper.
