I want to go to LSE and do a course in accounting or finance or economics

My GCSE grades:
English Lit - 9 (a**)
English Lang - 7 (a)
Maths - 7 (a)
Core Science - a
Additional Science - a
Business - b
Geography - b
RE - b

GCSE: a** aaaa bbb

I will be doing Maths, Economics and Politics for a levels - I believe I will get AAA at least probably higher as i am more motivated i went from grade 5 in lit to 9 in 6 months

I'd say you have a strong chance on getting in, depending on your Maths and Economics grade. If you get A*A*A at A Level then those are grades which are considered safe for Oxbridge. Politics won't be as important but make sure you get nothing low than an A and try to get atleast one A*.

By the way, how on Earth did you go from a 5 to a 9 in English in 6 months? That's really impressive. Please tell me how (I'm just starting Year 11).

Not sure how good a 7 in Maths will look for LSE especially if you're applying for econ/finance.

An 8/9 would have been better but overall you still have a chance, you'll just need very good predicted grades

predicted grades? for a level?

Linear exams mean you won't have real results and your school will need to predict you certain grades when applying on ucas

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/7953741/Triple-A-star-student-rejected.html

"turned away from Oxford where he was not even invited to interview as well as LSE, UCL, Bristol and Warwick."

and this guy had "top mark in Maths, Economics and Physics as well as scoring A grades in German, Further Maths and Chemistry."

I recognise him! (I went to Brighton college)
