Economics

I just have a really quick question to ask. What's the point of me doing Economics for my GCSE's when I can do it for A-level without having a GCSE in the course? Shouldn't I use the extra subject to do something else i.e. French and widen my knowledge?
Or is it better for me to do Economics in both my GCSE's and A-level?
I did economics at GCSE and now I'm going to do it in my A-levels this September. My teacher said that she would not recommend people who did not do it at Gcse to do it at A-level because of how much work they would need to catch up on. Also, I wouldn't recommend French unless you reeeeeally like it

I'm going into year 2 of Economics in my sixth form and there is a REALLY obvious divide between those who have done Economics before and those who haven't (People who haven't tend to do worse or struggle more especially at the start). Unless you really get the ropes quickly in A level Economics I would advise doing Econ for GCSE if you can.
Its basic progression, or rather understanding the fundamentals of economics.
