Hi everyone!
I'm French student
I want to do an International Relations degree
Which universities are the best in the field?
I can't decide on five because all the rankings say different things.

You're going to have to do some research yourself into course content, research focus, staff profiles, modules on offer, or even things like city life, etc. Nobody can say for sure the 'best in the field', because different departments have different strengths and attributes.

I am biased; I have a particular conception of what IR should aim to do, which affects my perceptions of the best universities in the field. I can make you some recommendations, but you'll have to do some legwork on your own to find out which one (if any) is right for you.

My list of departments to check out would be LSE, St Andrews, Aberystwyth, Warwick, Sheffield, Sussex, Essex, SOAS, KCL, maybe Exeter, and Bristol cos I went there for undergrad and liked it. Other people will have different opinions, but those will help you get a feel of what's on offer.
