HPAT for Dentistry in Ireland?

Hi, I am currently going into A2.

I wanted to know whether HPAT Test is required for Dentistry Applicants who want to study in Ireland?

On their website, HPAT have confirmed that these tests are required for entry into UG Medicine in all six unis that offer it, but nothing about it being a requirement for dentistry.

Please help, I'm not sure whether it is a requirement or not.

Thanks.

Hi,

There is no requirement to sit the HPAT in order to study dentistry in Ireland. You simply have to apply through the CAO and exceed the points required for the course.

Hi, the HPAT is not necessary to study dentistry. Have a look through the CAO Handbook http://www2.cao.ie/handbook/handbook2022/hb.pdf to find out more if you want!
