Hey. I have to write an essay in Biology which has to do with something in sciences with ethics. For example, GM food or cloning. I do not wana take the obvious ones. Any ideas? (another example: should alcoholics receive liver transplants?).

Should organ donors be allowed to not let convicted paedophiles or murderers have their organs even for life saving operations? -that's more medical-ethics tho.
another example: should alcoholics receive liver transplants, on the NHS?

the theory of evolution by Darwin is still controversial and is even banned in some schools

Most of these controversial subjects would be to do with Biology/Medicine although I see you're alluding to all sciences?
Application of modern physics in warfare perhaps, aka development of the atomic bomb and its justifications. Latest US proposed developments into low yield tactical nuclear warheads (making them more 'useable'). Testing out prosthetics on animals perhaps? Though perhaps animal testing is a subject well debated by now
