I'm just about to start my A-levels. I'm doing Edexcel English Lit and I was wondering if anyone has a recommended reading list for AS/A2? Thanks in advance!

Well it depends what books your teacher picks, but I'll give you advice for the books I had to study anyway
Bold - What you'll need

Year 1
The Handmaid's Tale - Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid's Tale York Notes study guide
Frankenstein - Mary Shelley, essays on Frankenstein
Poetry Anthology (Poems of the Decade an anthology)
A Streetcar Named Desire - Tennessee Williams, ASND York Notes study guide

Year 2
Hamlet (Arden edition) - Shakespeare, Critical Essays on Hamlet: Hamlet and His Problems - T.S. Eliot, Hamlet and Oedipus - Ernest Jones, etc
English Romantic Verse (Penguin Classics)
Beloved - Toni Morrison, York Notes Study Guide
Coursework Texts (Any two books)
Critical Theory books to use in your coursework: Terry Eagleton - Literary Criticism, Terry Eagleton - Marxism and Literary Criticism, Freud - Interpretation of Dreams, Jean Francois Lyotard - Postmodern Condition etc.
