HELP!! Music A level Course

can anyone tell me if the music course for AS is difficult, if you enjoyed it and what it's like?? I gad 2 marks of an A* in music in gcse and I love it, I just want to know what it's like and whether I should take it or not

I did the old spec A level, but personally I didn't find the jump from GCSE to AS to be massive. The core components are pretty much the same (assuming that you do the Edexcel course) - performance, composition and theory, with the addition of harmony exercises and some more advanced listening skills. The exam for the new specification is a bit different, as it involves applying your wider listening as well as the set works. Edexcel have also finally added female composers to the A level syllabus. :tongue:
