Hi I'm stuck on a question and wondered if anyone could help. I don't seem to be able to paste the graph but could anyone point me in the right direction of the types of calculations I would need to do to answer e) and f). Sorry this is vague without the actual graph.


15) A Carnot engine is in action. The engine contains 0.3 moles of a gas that has an adiabatic index of 1.6. The temperature of its hot reservoir is 867 K. The volume at point 1 is 5.8 L, at point 2 is 8.2 L and at point is 14.9 L.

e) Between (4)-(1), the Carnot cycle undergoes an adiabatic compression between the two reservoir temperatures. Use this to calculate volume of the system at point
(4) in L, to three significant figures.
f) Calculate the pressure of the system at point (4) in atm. to three significant figures.
