When do I tell him?

I've been single for a few months now, and have started dating. Before that, I was sleeping with my housemate for a few months; we were never official but there were feelings. I still live with him and will do for the next year.
When should I tell new people about my ex/housemate? Is it something I should being up on the first date, the first time we sleep together or the first time they meet?
I don't want to unnecessarily cause worry in a new partner - me and ex no longer have feelings for each other and there should be nothing to worry about, but I don't want to appear as if I am concealing anything either.
Help!

I don't think you can do anything in your situation without it being weird / looking like you're hiding something.
The real question is how you can still live with your housemate.
