Today my Windows defender found 3 Trojan Malware lurking around my Computer, thank god they were spotted the moment they entered my computer so I could have gotten ridden of them instantly, a Trojan malware always lets the hacker to do whatever it wants right? Whoever was behind the attack already deleted several of my files luckily all the files that were deleted were not important and outdated, this is alarming news and right after I deleted the viruses I immediately updated my anti virus software but I am not sure if it's enough, what other steps can I take to prevent my computer from hacking?

Have you downloaded any dodgy software recently? This may be the source of the trouble.

Well I have downloaded a flashcard software called Anki, before downloading it a message popped up saying that this program can harm my computer but I scanned it and there are no viruses with it.

Did you download it from a legitimate source?Trojans require software. You need to determine somehow when you started noticing the acitivity then identify the source and delete it.

I always check the sources, Google said that the website was secure and that any information I send there is private.

Didn't you say your anti-virus software was out of date? The people who create this are one step ahead.
Also did you make sure you downloaded the file that was safe or did you downlod a different one?

My Anti-virus is always up to date as I use windows 10, I just updated it manually for extra security, yes indeed I made sure it was safe, I actually researched if Anki was safe to download and apparently a lot of people said yes it was safe to download.

Trojans do require software, though, so you need to identify what could have brought about this activity.

Yeah I just had a look it does seem legit-I just had a look at their website. If you're sure its no other software you've downloaded, then it could potentially be any file that you have downloaded recently that you have opened aswell on order the excute the file throught the software this releasing the virus into your computer.Other than that I can't think of any other way a trojan can be released.

Anki is legit as long as you got it from https://apps.ankiweb.net/

If you go to Control Panel > Uninstall a Program > click on "Installed on" so that its sorted by most recent. Let me know what the most recent are.
