Anyone taking an Uber will be aware of their tendency to over-rely on the smart mapping system that Uber supply them with.

Mohiussunnath Chowdhury, Uber driver from Luton, decides to go to Windsor Castle (to kill the Queen presumably) but ends up at a pub called the Windsor Castle.

Over to Plan B. Buckingham Palace. Surely that will be easier to locate? Hurrah. It is. Praise Allah for satnav.

She was in Balmoral anyway.

The stupidity of these guys is remarkable. It is a good thing, if they had a few brain cells they would be very dangerous.

It's sad when you can't even trust your uber drivers

I expect they turned on surge pricing when their driver caused a terrorist incident.

Does kind of make you wonder who you're being driven by when you take an Uber though.

What about the terrorist who tweeted asking where he should target?

Exactly! We could be sitting in the car of a future terrorist.

It seemed surprising that he should only be charged with doing an act preparatory to terrorism. Going to a pub that shares the same name as the home of someone who isn't there, doesn't seem preparatory of very much. He may get acquitted.

Uber seems to be doing surprisingly well for a company that seems to get nothing but bad publicity

Why do so many Islamic extremists come from Luton.

It points a huge finger at their inability to screen drivers. A local taxi firm would know its staff and who might not be trustworthy or behave oddly. The algorithmic nature of everything at Uber means that we have to basically trust software to manage their drivers, which is not always going to work.

Uber drivers have also regularly committed sexual assaults against passengers in London.

Luckily for everyone who drinks at pubs called the Balmoral, he probably hadn't heard of that option.

Exactly. There is low-hanging fruit here. Furthermore, a Not Guilty plea to crimes of which he is obviously guilty like carrying an offensive weapon and unlawful wounding, would help convince a jury that a Not Guilty plea to the more serious charge (the terrorism offence carries a potential life sentence) was spurious.
