Why not go for broke and bring both a pen and a pencil?

for sure I will dear, but at first think about why I am asking it...
You really love pencils? The way the graphite seductively is scratched from the nib onto the waiting paper?

There's a Muji on Tottenham Court Road! Why not buy all your stationery from there? Mmm...stationery...there's also a big Paperchase near Holborn. I personally prefer pens, Pilot pens to be more specific.

Wow, what an amazing discussion this really is?!!? Now I know why we were all accepted at LSE, it is because of our deep way of overthinking every action in our lives. Not to be careless in any move, but respectfully balancing Yin and Yang, fully aware of the reactions of our decisions on Feng shui. After all, a pen is heavier than a pencil, what would this mean in terms of chaos-theory? That you will die sooner when using a pen? Who knows!!??! Is a pencil not respectfull for our ancestors, monks dilligently crafting their books? Or would a pen be a more modernist style, reflecting the ambitions of LSE, and blending in with the collective, using the bound force to grow in your path of life? Perhaps even a pen could be considered inapprorpiate, what about a laptop? A laptop would reflect the post-modernist way of thinking, in other terms, it will be the tool you would use when mature, being the most perfect personal adapted form of manual data processing.

So: what do you consider most important?? That the tool fits with your respect for your ancestors, blends in with the habits at LSE, or fits you personally?

Let's continue this marvelous discussion!!!

......

Out of respect for the LSE's asteemed mascot, the Beaver, I shall be using a wax tablet and scraping in my words with a piece of cane fashioned by a beaver.
indeed they even allow crayons in their exams

LOL!
