so wer do we all get the gowns from then? cos we seem to hav 2 use dem alot!

I think we rent them at hild bede but i know st marys have 2 buy their own! Dunno where from tho, lol!

thanx 4 that info! would you say it is best to buy a new one or second hand one? and how much about would you say they both were?

You get your gowns when you arrive at your college on Sat 2nd/Sun 3rd. The way it was for us last year at Grey, we'd queue up for ages, get given our keys, various fresher stuff, get measured for gowns, get given a gown, pay for the said gown, and then fill out boring admin money stuff in a kind of human conveyor-belt style.

I think you can choose whether you want a new gown or a 2nd hand gown too.

If you're at a gown-wearing college then you have to wear your gowns to formals too, so you use them a fair bit. Castle have a formal twice a week or something mad like that.

Couple of points of information: wearing gowns isn't that bad and hild bede quite clearly isnt the best. That's why its stuck out in the middle of nowhere!
