Completing the square

Anyone know how you do this:
4x^2+24x in the form a(x+p)^2 +q
What are the values of a, p and q?

Thanks in advance

How far have you got?
The first step should be to factor out "the a value" (the number before the x2x^2).

As stated in the posting guidelines, you should not be posting the answer straight away, but should instead help the student to understand so they can find the answer themselves.
First step is factor out the 4.
