Link between these four books?

These two books: a thousand splendid suns and a streetcar named desire have thematic links.

I was wondering if anyone could point out any specific character links e.g the link of Mariam and Laila with Blanche and Stella and their contrasts too e.g how in the end Mariam died for Laila however Stella disregards what her sister says about being raped by Stanley... all four women are oppressed, some more than others... are there other character links between the two books or thematic links as a whole?
