Bio question

Does anyone know how starch gets into phloem ??

I'm only an A-level biologist but I don't think it would get in- Phloem's are involved in translocation which moves the products of photosynthesis to sinks- normally sucrose is transported as it is small and not used in respiration. Starch is a storage molecule so would be too large to pass into the phloem anyway. Sucrose will be converted to starch in the sinks i.e. fruits of the plant
