Best revision guides/workbooks for Edexcel History 9-1 Watch

I do:
- Anglo-Saxon and Norman England, c1060-88
- The American West, c1835–c1895- Medicine in Britain, c1250-present
- The British sector of the Western Front, 1914-18.

When I did GCSE I found the revision guides weren't very good - the amount on your topic will be the bare minimum and probably won't be enough for anything above about 5 or 6. If you're worried about passing, revision guides should be fine, but you'd be better off taking really good notes in class and revising from those, working off powerpoints or handouts that your teachers have made, or borrowing the school textbooks for your revision, eg only doing it in your school library. If you can't do any of that, and you find you really need a revision guide, it may be worth buying the textbooks. These could be pretty pricey though, so I don't recommend it unless you have to.
