Is taking composite exam difficult?

I got a B in my AS physics paper because of my Theory component in which I got a C while I got As in MCQ, and practical. Now,I'm thinking of giving composite physics paper because I talked to my physics teacher and he said getting an A in physics in A2 will be difficult for me because of the C grade in Theory in AS.Is giving composite difficult?I've heard people say that giving composite can affect the grades in the rest of your subs in A2 because you focus more on that composite paper. I got As in the rest of my subjects i.e Maths and Chemistry. I don't want to lose these grades but I don't want a B in physics in A2 either. Thoughts?
