For my Politics HW, I have to write a brief report on any Political article of my choice. How do I do it?! What style do I write it in?! I have absolutely no idea

Try this its simpler.

Report writing is easier because you are reporting on analysing and reflecting on content. Considering its GCE then they arent going to want anything complicated.

So essentially I just need to add my opinion of the article?

You need to report enough back on the article to inform about its content, but then you can do analysis and opinion about it. the emphasis is that you are informing the reader of what you found,just like a news reporter. That aspect should be a fair reflection of what you find. You can then add a degree of analysis and opinion as an extra, making pertinent points.
