Where are UKMT results held

Suppose a uni wanted to check my UKMT results. Where would they check and would they decide to check if it were on my personal statement?
If you still have the certificates you could send them off, otherwise your maths teachers might have a list of everyone's marks for each challenge.
Is it not enough to mention I got "xyz" in "20ab"?

ok, just wondering whether the uni's can directly check with ukmt, and if they usually do try and verify it
