Do medical schools highly regard further maths?

I want to study medicine at uni, and I have chosen Maths, Chemistry and biology for my A levels- however my skl wants me to take AS further maths. As much as I love maths I worry that I'll struggle with the extra workload of further maths. Does taking FM put me in any advantage when applying to medicine at a Russell Group uni? And how hard is the course at AS A level? 😊

Absolutely not. In fact some med schools don't count it as a separate subject to maths and some only count it to AS. If you think you'll struggle with the workload there's absolutely no reason for you to do it.

That said, I still did it anyway.
