I'd love to learn a couple of languages tbh, German, French and Afrikaans.
What am I doing about it? Nothing really, I don't know how to go about it

I love the way these pilots talk :

Personally I want to learn turkish (or azeri) first and then korean. If I become fluent id love to continue learning more languages like mandarin and spanish.

Im waiting for year 12 to get sorted out and if I have free time ill start learning lmao

German, Mandarin... and maybe Spanish too.

I took German and Mandarin at GCSE but dropped them both at A Level (now in Y13). I hope to become fluent or at least conversational in future.

At the moment, I'm not entirely sure how.

I'm currently doing my French A-level, but over the past couple of years I have been self teaching Swedish, Italian and Latin. I find online apps the best way to learn them e.g Duolingo (cant recommend enough). In the past I have tried learning by a text book but i just found it so tedious and if anything it took me longer to learn and put me off from learning the language. Also, watching TV shows in the foreign language has been a great help. you can often find them online and BBC4 broadcast a foreign language TV show or film each Saturday night at 21:00, Not only are they fun to watch but also a great way to pick up the language.

Having tried Duolingo, I recommend it  It is good for vocabulary. While it may be a bit confusing with grammar and tenses, you can easily look them up when you are not sure of something
