Hey! I'm currently applying for primary education! I'm applying to Brighton, Sussex, Chichester, Canterbury Christ Church and Greenwich. I completed my A-Levels last year and didn't apply last year as I wasn't sure on what I wanted to do but now I do! I'm doing work experience at 3 different schools and eagerly waiting to send my application off to get acknowledgments/offers! Very excited  Even though I'm pushing my luck with the grades I have...

Hey, Im applying for Primary Education but all my work experinences are more than 3 years ago. Will i be asked exactly where and when I did work experience? I am waiting for my DBS form to come through so I can start my work experience hopefully before my interview.

You may be asked that yes, I doubt they would aggressively demand proof like a fascist though.

So I can talk about the experiences in my interview, even thoguh it was a while ago? What was the process like if anyone has already done there interview. Any help would be much appreciated.
Just to say, you're more than welcome to discuss interviews, provided that specific questions aren't discussed.

Most uni’s want 2 weeks *recent* experience but talking about your past experience will help your case too!

Hiya:hi:

It's best not to bump old threads, most of those users may not be around anymore anyhow so may not get back to you, but if you see any that have been online recently maybe send them a VM instead of bumping the thread.

I'm planning to do an interview advice thread today too which should help you and a lot of people in your position.
Hi! I am new here and I am so confused about the whole layout aha, I just hoped that there were people in my position I could talk to. Also, that sounds perfect!!

I still haven't sent my application in yet D': As I finished sixth form last year and went back for references etc this year they are taking forever to help me out and it sucks! I'm ready to send it off too! How quick did you get offers and what are your predicted grades?
Seems to be very few students applying for psychology and education is this usually the case?

Btw, applied for psychology and education and got offers from Durham, Warwick and York and waiting for Bristol and Southampton.

Congratulations on your offers.

The course isn't very popular nationally and dual honours even less so, so it's to be expected.

Hi, I'm Aisling and I've applied for Primary Education courses in Belfast and England (Liverpool and London). Could anyone give any advice on what I could bring as an artefact as part of the interview?
Hi! I applied for four courses, all on November 28th:
Stirling; Primary Education x2 - one with Early Years specialism, the other with Additional Support needs
Strathclyde; Primary Education - received an Unconditional Offer on December 11th
Dundee; Primary Education - I withdrew this offer after I received my Unconditional from Strathclyde as it was a backup which I didn't particularly want to go to. Since I had a guaranteed place I figured I'd just take it out so I didn't have to wait (and because I needed to go through an Interview, which is difficult for me since I work a 30 hour week during the weekday as an Apprentice TA and live in England.)

My first choice is Stirling (not sure which course yet), then Strathclyde. I'm guaranteed either an Unconditional offer or straight Rejection since I already have my A-Level grades (completed June '17) with ABC.
Hey guys!
I've applied to Brighton, Winchester, Chichester, Edge Hill and Plymouth.

I had my interview at Brighton on the 10th and was just wondering if anyone knew how long they normally take to let you know? I just read online it's normally the next evening if you got an offer and I still haven't heard so I'm getting a little worried

That doesn't sound terribly accurate. It could be any time, depends how many people they're interviewing really. It shouldn't be too long, and waiting is horrible but that's all you can do now.
