I'll put this on record when i'm back home...

I swear i saw one aaaaaaaaaages ago (maybe not 'Super Sweet 16') but something similar, was a lad who had his birthday at the tennis club (lol) - just looked like a school disco, not sure if he got a gift (well, car!) or not

It's not only their clueless parents that bother me, it's the fact that they're insanely popular at school even though they don't really seem to have any proper friends (understandably).

The only exception I remember was Bjorn (who pronounced his name Bee-Jorn - like an English 'J', for some reason), he seemed like a fairly decent guy most of the time and his friends seemed like they genuinely liked him.

The others, though, who act like they're the gods of their school and people should be kissing to their feet to go to their party (glorified disco) just grate on my nerves.

Probably going to be rubbish compared to American's as people hiring party planners, personal stylist is alot rarer here.

Chris Browns was by far the best!

hmmm some of my friends went to super sweet sixteen UK filming, it was a posh hotel in London, they didn't even know the girl but got offered tickets! Kano performed and that was pretty much it!

Don't really watch it, annoys the hell out of me. However out of the few I've watched, in one of them the kid managed to get Kanye West to preform at his party and P Diddy to make an appearance. Impressive.

What channel is it on - mtv?

I watched a few of the American ones - they're so rich it's unreal. Brand new Range Rovers for 16 year olds is insane!
haha I've seen some of the US episodes, it really is crazy. They are so rich, getting top of the range cars at such a young age! Imagine the cost of insurance!

yeah they all seem to say they dont know half of the people at their party. why would you want to spend your parents money on strangers. would they not rather have a smaller party for friends (but obviously still well over the top) and then have the extra cash.

the guy on the UK advert had danielle lloyd at his party. not quite as good as kanye west i must say.

apparently mtv are giving money towards the parties to encourage people to have outrageous things so wouldnt suprise me if they invited the random strangers to their parties.

Oh god, I'm sorry you guys have to be subjected to this as well. Every single one of those girls deserves to be punched in the face. On her birthday.

I'm really not expecting much. I was asked to perform at one of the parties, but turned it down.

If the English version to Laguna Beach is anything to go by... it will be dreadful.

MSSS is the type of programme you love to hate though... I'm still always singing "Gonna spread my wings... sweet sixteen" to the opening credits, and even I'm not sure if I'm being sarcastic or not.
So did anyone watch it?

The first one (Chantal) party looked RUBBISH!! Best thing about it was Sean Kingston (guessing he must of been paid loads!) - she was annoying as hell also, was just trying to copy the American one m'thinks

Watching the second one now (Andre), gawd he's an idiot - scratch card invites!? Ok in all fairness, a good idea, but still, i'd rather people i like come along rather than those who got the 'yes' cards!

That Andre just needs a good slap and so does his mum. Grrrrrr they were soooo annoying especially when he was just ordering that guy who was in charge of the club around. 'Oooo and I want some sheep just cos they are random.' %%%%%%%%%%%% Although his BMW M3 was nice, if not a bit too chavy.
