The question is complete.

ddx(x3(2x+6)4)=3x2(2x+6)4+8x3(2x+6)3 \displaystyle \frac{d}{dx}\left (x^3 (2x+6)^4\right ) = 3x^2(2x+6)^4 + 8x^3(2x+6)^3

Just note, my order is usually how it would look, but it doesn't matter either way. :smile:

However, the answer may be rewritten as

(2x+6)3(3x2(2x+6)+8x3)=(2x+6)3(6x3+18x2+8x3)\displaystyle (2x+6)^3(3x^2(2x+6)+8x^3) = (2x+6)^3(6x^3+18x^2+8x^3)

=(14x3+18x2)(2x+6)3= (14x^3+18x^2)(2x+6)^3

Use the product rule and the general power rule (chain rule) and simplify.
