Any indication of if we're going to get the breakdown for each question for the video interview?

Attending 14th-15th Feb at Warwick.

Anybody internal talked to their manager about costs travelling being covered?
Or anybody travelling far found out if its possible to go and stay the night before?

It's manager / business unit discretion.

My recollection is that T&S is budgeted for centrally, i.e. not paid for by the business you work in, so is not at your manager's/business's discretion. It's already agreed by the Tax Academy. Your manager will still have to authorise it, but there's no reason they wouldn't since it's coming out of someone else's budget. The AC info pack will confirm one way or another anyway.

As someone who regularly travels I can assure you that’s incorrect. That’s why we have cost centre codes etc.

We have the info pack, it says discuss with manager.

Edit: After a few readings I think I get what you’re suggesting - there’s no central Tax Academy budget for this.

The TnS guidance states you can claim for interviews/assessment weather u book yourself and claim back or is booked for you is up to your manager

Assessment Centre - you threw it with the word interview. No reply but I can see in my sent so I assume they've received it

Yea sorry, should have called it the AC. I still have not recieved a reply as of yet, but not going to assume that they have it because it's in my outbox. Going to send them another email tomorrow.

This sentence from the AC invite worries me.
'If you do not contact us by this deadline, we will assume you are no longer interested in the vacancy and withdraw your application.'

I have emailed them to confirm attendance but I'm not expecting any confirmation email back from them...... yet someone in an earlier post says they have received a confirmation? Anybody else get one or was that a one off?

I have contacted and they are working through all the acknowledgements so hopefully there will be an email from them soon. Still waiting on mine too

Fair enough. I haven't seen the info pack. I travel a lot too and thought they used a Tax Academy cost centre, but clearly not. Possibly that's how they used to do it. I've definitely used it for something anyway. Ignore me 😂

Re confirmation emails, everyone stop panicking. If it's in your sent items, the address is correct and you haven't received a delivery failure, then they've had it. That's how email works. Contacting them asking them confirm receipt just creates more work for them. They normally contact people who haven't replied anyway, just in case.

Sorry, what specific guidance are you referring to?

Jobs on the site usually specify if T&S is provided to attend interview, often they aren’t. I had to travel from Newcastle to London at my own expense on one occasion.

I was more referring to overnight stay before, I know some colleagues who are getting it and others that aren’t. I’ve got both but been told no additional subsistence (meals etc) can be claimed for the time I’m there - obviously still get what’s provided at the AC.

I really didnt expect to get confirmation based on numbers but funny enough I've now had an email this morning confirming attendance. These look to be sent individually so I can imagine people getting them at different times during the next few days before Friday.

Only guidance I can find tells you how to claim back expenses, doesn't say when they are due.

Again, at the discretion of the manager as the Tax Academy haven't given any guidance - but yes I am.

No internal applicants should need to use annual leave or flexi to attend.

They should also get T&S/travel costs covered from a central fund rather their specific business unit.
